Customer Complaints Season 3 E17

Customer Complaints Season 3 E17

Another drop in the books, another pile of customer cars that tell stories nobody asked for. If you're tuned into the "Customer Complaints" series, you know we don't sugarcoat it. We read the notes, poke around, test drive the chaos, and call it like we see it. Season 3, Episode 17 keeps the formula strong with 22 minutes of shop therapy and mechanical roasting.

We kicked off with some heavy duty engine drama. First up was a customer's car that arrived with a completely cracked engine block, which is pretty much the ultimate death sentence for an engine. Not long after, we dug into a 2016 Ford Mustang that was experiencing massive coolant loss and cylinder misfires. It didn't take long to trace that back to a compromised head gasket. When your engine starts drinking coolant and blowing smoke, you are running out of time before a simple fix becomes a total rebuild.

Then we rolled out with a line of vehicles making all kinds of suspicious noises. A 2017 BMW 540i came in with a nasty knocking sound every time the driver turned the wheel. We also put a 2020 Honda Pilot on the lift to inspect some serious suspension wear, followed by a 2022 GMC Sierra with its own list of steering and suspension complaints. If your truck feels like a loose shopping cart on the highway, it is probably time to look at the front end components before they look at you.

Next up was a transmission puzzle on a 2012 Toyota Camry. The car was throwing some serious transmission error codes, specifically P0741 and P2757. We took it out for a test drive to evaluate the torque converter performance and see exactly how it was slipping. Transmission issues can be sneaky, but a live data test drive usually tells us everything the computer is trying to hide.

Between the chaos, we took a quick break for some shop life updates. We demonstrated the features of a new O Light flashlight (https://www.olight.com/s/KTZRD3) that has been saving our eyes in these dark wheel wells, and we announced a fresh restock of our official shop merchandise. We wrapped up with a reminder that a quick, temporary fix is usually just a countdown to a much bigger bill. Getting an honest, thorough second opinion is the only way to save your car and your wallet.

Closing quote for the week. "The next generation might not know how to drive stick, but we will fix them one tiny pro-drifter at a time."

Full episode is up on the channel. Catch the shenanigans before the next one lands.

Revolutionizing the Way You Drive. One inspection, One roast, One "you need a new car" at a time.
